Most properties already offer a campsite, a cabin or a tent. A covered wagon gives guests something different to book: a stay that looks like nothing else on the site. The white canvas cover and big spoked wheels make it easy to spot from the road and easy to photograph, which helps a listing stand out. Glamping resorts use it as a signature unit, campgrounds and RV parks add it as an upgrade from a tent pad, ranches use it for a western-themed stay, and event venues set it up as a bridal suite, a photo spot or a quiet room for guests.
The interior is an open space of about 5.6 x 1.8 m with headroom of about 1.9 m. It comes empty, so you decide how to fit it out. Most owners add a bed or two, a small side table, rugs and lighting that suits the rest of the property. Keep the layout simple so guests can move around easily and the space still feels open under the arched canvas.
Choose a level spot and prepare a firm pad of compacted gravel or similar material so the wagon sits evenly on its wheels. Check that the delivery truck can reach the spot, or a nearby area where you can unload, with enough room to turn and park. The wagon is built for static use, so plan where it will stay: it moves only around your property and is not made for towing on public roads.
The canvas cover is what guests notice first, so look after it. Brush off leaves and dirt, let it dry fully after rain before closing it up, and check the ties and seams through the season. In heavy snow or storms, clear build-up off the top and check the cover once the weather passes. A little care each season keeps the wagon looking fresh for the next booking.
Each wagon is built to order, and the lead time is confirmed when you order, so you can plan around your booking season. It ships by freight to the contiguous US and arrives on a truck. You provide the unloading equipment, such as a forklift or a crane, and the people to guide the wagon onto its pad. Tell us about your site before you order and we will help you plan the delivery.
