Buying guides

How buying direct works

You order on the page at the listed price. The factory builds your unit, we book the ocean freight, file the US customs entry and pay the duty, then deliver curbside in the lower 48. You handle unloading, the pad or room, and any electrical or plumbing hookup.

What to settle before you order a horse walker

Ring size is the first decision. The 4 horse walker is a 12 m / 42 ft ring with ring dimensions of 2.2 x 12 m (7.22 x 39.37 ft). The 6 horse walker is a 15 to 16 m / 52 ft ring. The 8 horse walker is a 20 m / 72 ft ring with ring dimensions of 1.8 x 20 m (5.91 x 65.62 ft). All three use a 2.5 m track width, so plan the footprint from the overall ring diameter plus working room outside the panels.

Panel type changes how the walker feels to work around. Welded mesh panels 2.2 m high come galvanized on the 4 horse walker. Curved horizontal rail panels 1.8 m high come powder coated on the 6 horse walker. The 8 horse walker uses a mesh upper panel over a rubber lower lining, 1.8 m high, on an open top ring. Panel height is customizable on every configuration, so a different height can be built if you confirm it with the factory before the order is placed.

Power and footing are site work. Every walker uses a 0.75 to 2.2 kW geared drive motor running on 230 V single phase at 60 Hz, the US standard supply, and the motor is selected by ring size. Footing preparation, the electrical feed, and the final connection by a licensed electrician are separate from the equipment price. Every walker is built to order, so the availability date on each product page is calculated from the day you order, never from a fixed stock date.

Horse walker questions, answered

Which horse walker size should I buy?+

The 4 horse walker uses a 12 m / 42 ft ring, the 6 horse walker a 15 to 16 m / 52 ft ring, and the 8 horse walker a 20 m / 72 ft ring. All three run a 2.5 m track width, so the decision is how many horses you move per session and how much space the ring and its working perimeter can take.

What are the panels made of?+

The 4 horse walker uses welded mesh panels 2.2 m high with a galvanized finish. The 6 horse walker uses curved horizontal rail panels 1.8 m high, powder coated. The 8 horse walker uses a mesh upper panel over a rubber lower lining, 1.8 m high, on a galvanized frame. Panel height is customizable on all three.

Is freight included in the price?+

Yes. Freight and duty to the contiguous US are included in the listed price. The availability date shown on each product page is calculated from your order date, so it is current every time you load the page.

What power supply do the walkers need?+

Each walker uses a 0.75 to 2.2 kW geared drive motor selected by ring size, running on 230 V single phase at 60 Hz, the US standard supply. Confirm the motor rating against your available supply before you order.
