A high-speed disc works the top layer of soil fast and shallow. Two rows of notched concave discs cut and mix crop residue into the surface, and the rear cage roller follows to break clods, firm the soil and leave a level finish. In one pass you get residue incorporated and a seedbed that is ready to plant, where a conventional setup often needs two or three trips with different tools.
This disc suits grain and hay farms working stubble after harvest, vegetable growers preparing beds between crops, custom operators who need to cover ground quickly for clients, and regenerative and reduced-tillage growers who want to keep tillage shallow instead of turning the whole profile.
A heavy tandem disc works deeper and slower and is built for breaking tougher ground. A field cultivator levels and loosens soil but does little to chop and mix residue. A high-speed disc sits between the two: it handles residue like a disc and finishes like a cultivator, working shallow so you disturb less soil and keep more moisture near the surface.
As the name says, a high-speed disc is designed to run at higher ground speeds than a conventional disc harrow, which is how it covers acres quickly. It works best in stubble and residue from small grains, hay and vegetable crops, and in soils that are workable rather than wet and sticky. Rocky or very wet ground calls for slower speeds and more care. Match your speed to the field in front of you.
This 4 m (13 ft) unit is for tractors from 90 hp. Plan for enough power and weight to hold a steady working speed across your fields, and check that your hitch and hydraulic outlets suit a trailed implement before you order.
Each disc is built to order, and the lead time is confirmed when you order. It ships by truck freight to the contiguous US. You provide the unloading equipment, such as a forklift or a loader with forks, and a clear, level spot the truck can reach. Tell us about your site before you order and we will help you plan the delivery.
